This workshop will give you an overview on Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Stroke rehab and what our role as movement professionals is in helping these clients while also staying within our scope of practice.
People who suffer from neurological conditions don’t necessarily think of personal trainers or fitness Instructors as their “go to” professionals. Yet the evidence is clear that physical activity can significantly help alleviate or reduce symptoms and improve their quality of life.
At the end of this workshop, you will get a scientific, evidence-based, understanding of what goes on in each of these conditions. You will also learn some key neurological principles that would affect your exercise prescription and programming which will give you the confidence to be able to help your clients in a way that is meaningful and rewarding for both sides.
